MicroStrategy 10 – What can we expect ?

MicroStrategy 10 is the latest version of enterprise analytics platform from MicroStrategy. With a tagline that says, “Enterprise-ready meets ease-to-use“ MicroStrategy 10 promises a lot on offer, especially for self service analytics. The new version moves away from Adobe Flash architecture and uses Java, jQuery, and HTML5 platform base. This means all widgets and functionality available on web will also be available on the iDevice and other platforms without needing multiple versions.

MicroStrategy Express Retiring

In the wake of MicroStrategy 10 release, MicroStrategy has recently announced the retirement of its free MicroStrategy Express suite. However, an improved version of MicroStrategy desktop client will be available at $600 for each user, but will be available to MicroStrategy Express users for free. MicroStrategy Desktop client promises to be the crown jewel in the new MicroStrategy 10 release, and is available as a client install for both Mac OS and MS Windows.
